Submit entries through news organization

Validate account

  1. Go to betternewspapercontest.com and click on “Contestant Login.”
  2. Select “Contestant Manager.” Find the “2012 Alaska Press Club Contest” and your news organization in the drop-down menu. Login using the password “bnc”.
  3. Create a new password and agree to the “Terms of Use” to continue.
  4. Submit entries. (You may delete entries at any time in the “Manage Entries” area.)
  5. Then you must validate that you have authority to make entries. To do so, click “OK” to send the validation email. The email will go to the original email address on the account.
  6. Better BNC will log you out of your account. Click the link Better BNC emails to you to validate your account.
  7. The link will take you back to the Better BNC login page. Login as “Contestant Manager.” Make sure your account information is accurate. Then click “Submit” when done.
  8. This year you can create logins for individuals at your organization. These individuals are called “Authorized Entrants.” Scroll to the bottom of the account information page to decide if you would like to allow others to manage the contest at your news organization. Click “Submit” when done. (This is optional.)
  9. Now go to “My Contest” at the top of the webpage to begin submitting more entries.

  2. Select “Contestant Manager” or “Authorized Entrant” and find the “Alaska Press Club contest 2012” and your news organization in the drop-down menu. Login with your password.

SUBMIT ENTRIES

  1. Once you are logged in, click “Submit Entry.”
  2. Please make sure that you have working links and documents available. (The form accepts PDF, DOC, TXT, JPG, GIF and PNG.) Make sure you enter journalist names in the credits section. Individual names must be associated with each entry.
  3. Submit.
  4. MAKE PAYMENT.
